This was a normal week, one of the most normal I've had in awhile, but I still went a little off the road with some of my goals.

I spent a lot of time gardening this weekend.  Like, a LOT of time gardening this weekend.  I have 4 garden spaces started, and I am really happy with how they are looking.  Gardening, or planting rather, gives me a lot of joy, so I guess I don't feel all that bad that this ended up my focus in this week rather than some of the goals.  Maintenance of the gardens, that will be a different story.  Love the planting, the upkeep, not so much.

So, I didn't walk the dogs that much this weekend. It was very hot, so Circe wouldn't have wanted to walk too much anyway.  But I need to do a lot better with this for myself.

It should have been a new recipe weekend, but my guest never really committed, and then ended up saying no anyway.  I bought the ingredients, and hopefully next weekend will work out.  My parents want to try the calzones from last time, so I might be doing a lot of cooking next weekend.

I have also once again failed as a godmother.  It is June, both Ari and Aidan's birthdays are in June, and I have not shopped for gifts or cards or even called.  Fortunately, it is still June next week.

Things I have done right this week: I have purchased extra donations for our WeCAN project at work and packed up the GSGS.  I cut back on soda quite a bit this week.  And I have truly made conscious efforts eliminate I'm sorry from conversation unless I really do have something to apologize for.  It sometimes slips out, but I know that I am really doing better with this.  And I have been sort of keeping up with writing, even though I have a serious case of writer's block going on.

It is  Father's Day.  I'm going to call my dad, take the dogs for a walk, and give that writing thing a try.  I'm cooking out later today, hopefully with a guest.  Until next week...
